GO-VAXX mobile COVID-19 clinic coming to McMaster’s campus Sept. 27th
A GO-VAXX mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinic is coming to McMaster’s campus on Tuesday, September 27th.
As the pandemic continues, public health officials are urging everyone to keep up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations as they can provide protection against severe illness from COVID-19.
The clinic is open to McMaster students, faculty and staff as well as members of the Hamilton community.
This clinic comes as the Ontario government begins to offer the bivalent COVID-19 booster dose to all Ontarians aged 18 and over.
Children under the age of five are not able to get a vaccine at GO-VAXX clinics. For information on options for vaccination of children aged six months to under five-years-old, please visit the City of Hamilton’s public health website.
The GO-VAXX clinic will provide:
- The Pfizer mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, including booster doses, for adults and youth ages 12 and up
- The Pfizer mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, including booster doses, for children aged five to 11
- The bivalent mRNA COVID-19 booster for all eligible populations (All Ontarians over the age of 18 will be eligible for bivalent COVID-19 booster doses starting September 26th).
Appointments for the clinic can be booked through the province’s booking portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact centre at 1-833-943-3900.
Walk-ins will be accepted based on availability.
Please bring your Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and/or University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) card with you to the clinic. International students, please bring physical, hard copies of previous vaccinations from other countries.
This clinic comes after several other COVID-19 vaccine clinics held on McMaster’s campus in recent months saw a strong response from the community.

Visitor parking is limited. Please see McMaster’s Parking Services website for more information about visitor parking. Those attending will be charged the visitor rate for parking.

GO-VAXX mobile clinics are offered through a partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Metrolinx. GO buses have been converted to serve as mobile vaccine clinics and all clinics are fully accessible.
All COVID-19 safety precautions will be followed on board, including the required pre-vaccination screening and post-vaccination monitoring. Please do not attend if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
