The following list indicates confirmed positive COVID-19 cases at McMaster where the individual has been on site within the last 14 days.
There are two cases to report at this time:
McMaster has developed comprehensive protocols for any reported confirmed case of COVID-19. These have been developed in accordance with Hamilton Public Health and include creation of a university rapid response team.
If there is a health and safety risk on campus due to a positive case of COVID-19, the University will take all of the appropriate steps required.
In any positive case, Public Health is responsible for contact tracing and will contact directly any individuals who they need to reach.
The COVID-19 pandemic in Canada began in March 2020. Any positive case that has been reported at McMaster can be found below. Cases are noted based on the month when the university was notified of a positive COVID-19 test result.
- March 2020-July 2020: 0 cases
- August 2020: 1 case
- September 2020: 2 cases
- October 2020: 5 cases
- November 2020: 6 cases
- December 2020: 1 case
- January 2021: 13 cases
- February 2021: 1 case
- March 2021: 2 cases
