MacCheck FAQs

All students, faculty and staff members must access MacCheck for COVID-19 health screening every day before coming to main campus or any McMaster facility. This, in combination with vaccination proof or valid exemption, will give you a green checkmark to come on site.

1. Access MacCheck here:

2. Log in with your MACID and password

3, MacCheck will prompt you to complete the Ontario COVID-19 Self-Assessment in a new tab

4. Return back to the MacCheck screen to indicate your results: either you DO or DO NOT need to self-isolate

Once you’ve completed the daily check-in, you can access your pass at any time that day through MacCheck by clicking ‘Home’ and selecting the ‘Pass’ icon. Information on where you might need to show your checkmark here.

You’ll be using MacCheck each day you need to come to campus, so it’s helpful to have an easy way to access it on your phone each day.

The instructions below will help you create an icon/shortcut on your smartphone that looks just like an app and will open a web browser when you tap it.

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Enter Tap “Go.”
  3. Tap the Share button on the bottom of the page.
