Next round of Back to Mac virtual town halls set for early August

With Ontario entering Stage 3 of the Roadmap to Reopen, we know you’re wondering what that means for the fall term. The McMaster community is invited to join the next set of Back to Mac Town Halls in early August to hear about the most up-to-date plans.

Following the same format as the first set of Town Halls in June (which you can review here for students and here for faculty and staff), these two livestreamed events will feature a panel of university leaders who will help provost and vice-president (academic) Susan Tighe answer community-submitted questions about getting Back to Mac.

“Though the pandemic remains unpredictable and we will always plan with flexibility in mind, by August we will have additional clarity around how the fall term is likely to progress,” says Tighe. “We are more optimistic than ever that we will be able to provide a wide-range of opportunities for students, staff and faculty to reunite and connect while maintaining a safe environment for all.”

The virtual town halls will each run for one hour on McMaster’s YouTube account, and will be live CART captioned. Attendees can watch live and submit their questions in advance on the homepage of the Back to Mac website. Recordings of the events will also be made available afterwards.
